Stainless steel, enclosed with dish ends.  Fitted into the base of the vessel a magnetic agitator driven by 0.5kW, shunt wound DC motor, (armature 170 V; field 195 V). Removeable insulating jacket.Vessel mounted in a stainless steel frame with 100 mm dia nylon castors, with welded D handle.
