IWKA CP 80 Horizontal cartoner
Stock No. 1832
Currently set for reverse tuck closure with bottle 'lay over' device, rotary emboss coder and a GUK FA21/4 Cartonac 91 leaflet folder and inserter, A4 31635.
Operation
Bottles are fed from the Labeller discharge conveyor automatically into the IWKA bottle feeder, the feeder effectively lays over each bottle into the infeed buckets of the cartoner, once the product sensor detects a bottle a carton (pre-broken see sample provided) is drawn from the carton magazine by vacuum cups and placed underneath the carton guide, during this operation the carton is erected and slightly over-broken. The carton is then conveyed past the carton sensor, which stops the machine, should a carton not be detected. The carton end flaps at the top end are then closed, leaving the product end open. The carton and product then meet the loading station, at which point the GUK leaflet folder presents a leaflet, which is pushed into the carton by the product and pusher arm. The carton product end flaps are then closed and both ends tucked closed, the carton is then carried out between the discharge side belts.
